Photography and painting let me translate the many sensations of Hugo Hallist, two of which stand out.

One is what I call the parade around the corner. All my life there's been a feeling, almost a promise of something magical, an eternal celebration happening just beyond the bordeaux strip of dying sunsets and midnight windows of Tallinn Old Town, somewhere in the foggy fields, and, naturally, the stars. I've always yearned to belong to that otherworldly parade, and yet I've always been a moment late, catching but the last echo of their music, some final rustling of the leaves. Throughout history night has been felt to be the time the spirit world seeps through and opens its curtains to those willing to appreciate it. Thus I roam, gazing at the dim yellow streetlights and slumbering rooftops, hoping for a flying carpet to take me away.

The other, perhaps the greater sensation is that of unbearable peace. Like a sun, it fuels me, beneath its celestial light I bask, helpless, blissful. An endless explosion - it is too much to contain, so I liberate it, breaking the matter, my heart ablaze.

But there’s always something else…

Maybe my work can translate some of your own magic, perhaps you just fancy the colours and shapes or see something completely different; whatever it may be, if you like it, I'm pleased and honoured, if you feel like your space is the right place for it, this website is at your service.

Free shipping is offered to wherever UPS is able to deliver.

While it is my hope that all packages arrive at their intended destinations in a timely manner, sometimes carriers mishandle packages. I waive all responsibility once the package is passed on to the carrier, any damage or loss that may occur in transit is not my responsibility.

Should any issues arise after the package has landed in the destination country, the recipient is responsible for contacting their local postal service to remedy the situation. The recipient is also responsible for any and all taxes, duties, and fees that may be due in relation to your order. It is not uncommon for a package to be marked as delivered earlier than the actual delivery date. Regardless, the recipient is responsible for locating the package after it has been marked as delivered.

While many orders make it through customs without issues, the customs agency in your country may require you to sign any required forms before receiving your package. It is the recipient's responsibility to check with their country's customs office to verify any fees as I am unable to provide the recipient with the exact amount of the charges. By completing your order you agree to pay all applicable fees.
